The Brief - The Winners Presentation
The weather gods were certainly smiling on the winners of The Brief when everyone met on London's Millennium Footbridge for the presentation of the prizes.

Bathed in brilliant autumn sunshine, and dodging between the many tourists and commuters using the bridge at the time, Peter Ridgway (Director at ACO Technologies and creator of The Brief concept), Chris Wise (founder of Expedition Engineering and co-judge of the competition) and Antony Oliver (Editor of New Civil Engineer) met and congratulated all the winners on their efforts and achievements.

Given the traffic situation and the occasional inconvenient, skirt-raising blast of wind (sorry Iona had to mention it!) we managed to take a few pictures of the happy throng.
Centre picture, left to right: Peter Ridgway, Joe Bamber, Robert Eyles, Chris Wise, Phil Jackson, Thomas Critchley, Iona Campbell and Antony Oliver.
Following the presentations, everyone then de-camped to the adjacent Tate Modern for a high calorie lunch session which included an impromptu Chris Wise sketching masterclass in which he showed us how the winning design for the 2012 Velodrome was conceived.

Thanks again to everyone who took part, to our winners, judges and competition sponsors. We'll be back soon!
